Oily massage parlors are quite common in some parts of Thailand. Not to be confused with traditional or “legitimate” Thai massage shops, the oilies offer erotic massage with happy ending. In some cases, they don’t even bother with the actual massage at all. There are actually a lot of women working in regular Thai massage shops who discreetly offer hand happy happy endings or more to their male customers. But they normally do so of their own accord. Even if they think a “full release” is required in an oily massage, the people who employ them usually don’t make this an official part of the service. To prevent confusion between traditional massage shops and happy ending parlors, Thai authorities even created regulations for business names and signs. The erotic venues are no longer allowed to have the word “massage” in their names. That’s why you see big pieces of tape of the word “massage” on signs at places like Orange Massage in Bangkok and Palace in Ubon. How oily parlors work Oily massage parlors in Thailand all function in a similar way. They charge a house fee for use of the room and massage. Then the ladies who do the massage charge an additional fee for whatever sensual services they offer. Sometimes the prices are combined into one single fee. No matter how the pricing is done however, the typical rate is right around 2000 Baht ($65 USD) for an hour long session with full service. Some shops might charge 2100 or even more for an hour. And you might even see some that still charge 1800, though they are increasingly rare. Typically the ladies get 1500 Baht for their work, and the house keeps the rest. So anything over 1500 Baht normally goes to the shop. It used to be that guys always paid on the way out. But these days a lot of shops want guys to pay up front. Cherry oily massage BangkokCherry oily massage Bangkok A full service session normally starts with both the lady and the customers showering. From there the lady normally gives the guy a blowjob. Then they have sex with a condom. Some ladies will do more or less depending on any number of things. And shops are more explicit than others about what exactly they offer. But this is the most basic explanation of what a session in an oily is like. Short sessions normally include one “shot” or orgasm for the guys. But some places are known to offer “multiple pops”. There is no rule that say full service is required anywhere either. Some guys simply go to oily massage parlors to get a handjob or blowjob. It used to be widely accepted that a handjob cost 500 and a head job cost 1000 on top of the house fee. But this pricing isn’t as common these days. Especially in venues that charge an all inclusive fee. It only makes sense that the women work to make money, and want to earn as much as possible. Still most providers are happy to do only hand or mouth service for customers who don’t want to go all the way. Ladies and extra services Oily massage parlors can have anywhere from a few to a few dozen women on staff. Most places just have a handful of ladies. But some popular shops have a very large number of gals working busy shifts. The gals of course range in age and looks. But most are in their twenties and of average attractiveness. There are shops that are known for hiring better looking women. And then there are places where most of the women are on the older and heavier side. Things can also change from one day to the next. Most oily massage parlors will have all available ladies line up when a customer come in for a session. But there are some shops that instead show customers a book with photos of the masseuses. Even in the photo book places, guys can often ask to see a woman in person before deciding. But there are a few places that simply refused to do in person lineups as a rule. Some oily massage shops are known for having more adventurous and active women on staff. In those places things like bareback blowjobs and cum in mouth (CIM) are considered routine. But in some oily massage parlors there are women who won’t do either. Some of the more adventurous women in the oily circuit also offer anal, which is usually indicated by “A+” next to their name on a website or photo. In places like Tulip in Bangkok, the A+ ladies offer this service at no extra charge. But at shops like Bamboo on Soi 8, A+ service comes at a 500 Baht ($16 USD) premium price. Where are Thai oily massage parlors? Oily massage parlors are much more common in some parts of the country than others. Bangkok clearly leads the way when it comes to oily massage parlors. They can be found all over the city. In some parts of town like Phrom Phong there are several oily massage parlors nestled together. Sukhumvit Soi 24 is home to Addict, EZ Massage 1, and Thonglor 2. The smaller 24/1 contains to the famous Cherry Massage along with several other oily parlors including CamCam, Angel 26, Sweet Mango and more. Soi 26 is home to the legendary Snow White, Dream Heaven and others. These are just a few of the many oily massage parlors in Bangkok. Oily massage parlors can also be found in other parts of Thailand. But they aren’t as common. Shops like Mossa Hue in Chiang Mai could vaguely be described as oily massage parlors. But they are more like body to body massage shops or massage clubs. As a rule they don’t typically offer full service, even if some ladies on staff make exceptions in private. There are shops outside of Bangkok that could be described as oily massage parlors however. They more or less follow the same model set by the oilies in the capital. Those shops include places like Dream Teen and My House Massage in Pattaya. And Little Mermaid in Chiang Mai. The oily massage model continues to be popular in Thailand. Many of the newer and more popular massage parlors opening are closer to the soapy massage or Japanese model. But oily massage parlors continue to do brisk business. That’s remains true even though Smooci is filled with escorts in Bangkok that customers can order direct to their rooms with a few clicks. As they say horses for courses. Some prefer to book private sessions with ladies online. But there are still many who walk into brick and mortar venues too.

What is a barfine or “bar fine”? It is a simple enough question. And the answer can be simplified too. But there really is more to it than just a single line definition of the type you would expect to see in a dictionary. After covering the commercial sex industry all over the world, I realize that there are some basic concepts that I have not explained. For those who are well versed in the pay for play scene, this sort of thing can seem like second nature. But for many people around the world, phrased like “barfining a woman” may seem out of the norm. So I will tell you what exactly a barfine is here. What is a barfine? Basically, a barfine is a payment given to a bar to release a woman on staff from work early. In fact, barfines are also referred to as “early work release” or EWR in some parts of the Philippines. In other places it is called an exit fee or salida. No matter the name, the general idea is that a customer gives a bar money in order to make up for lost income. For example, let’s say a bar pays a gal they employ a base salary of $300 USD per month. Then they set a barfine at $10 USD. If the lady wants to leave work early one day to go out with a customer, the bar receives $10 to make up for the $10 in daily salary they paid out. she's in love with his moneyshe's in love with his money Of course in practice, things don’t always work out so logically. There are places with barfines in place that don’t even pay salaries. There are also places that charge barfines for customers who want to have sex with women on premises. In those cases, the gals don’t even leave the place. So obviously the bar doesn’t lose any money. The owners just want to get a cut of the action. Or they charge for something like cleaning or use of a private room. Now that you know what a barfine actually is, let me explain some of the specifics. There are local peculiarities to barfines in various parts of the world. In some cases, barfines are exactly what they are purport to be. In other places, they’re clearly just a way for a place to make money. Prices and procedures vary from one place to another too. Barfines in Thailand Barfines are charged at most bars with women in Thailand. In beer bars they are usually between 300 and 500 Baht. In go go bars, prices can range from 600 to 3000 Baht depending on the city, the bar, and in some cases the “class” of the woman. Barfines are paid up front in Thailand. In some cases they are negotiable or change. For example, some Pattaya go go bars charge a higher barfine before midnight or some other time. They do this to keep more women in the bars, thus giving them more potential to bring in customers and make money on drinks. Some Pattaya go go bars also have different barfines for short time and long time. They charge less to guys who just want to spend two hours with a girl from the bar. Theoretically, the ladies will return to the bar afterward. Long time bar fines are higher, these bars say, because the women leave for the entire night. These sorts of tiered barfines are much less common in go go bars in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Barfines can occasionally be found at other establishments in Thailand. But they aren’t always as common. For example, some of the blowjob bars like Lolita’s in Bangkok set very high barfines because they prefer that the ladies work full shifts. Others like Wood Bar have a less expensive barfine as it is more routine for the ladies they employ to go out with customers. Hostess Bar barfines Bar fines exist in Cambodia too. Hostess bars in Phnom Penh charge barfines ranging from $6 to $15 dollars. The barfines are usually set and don’t fluctuate according to the time of day or anything else. Some places will even negotiate over barfines or simply wave them entirely for guys who spend a lot of money on drinks. A few of the KTV places in Cambodia also levy a fee on guys who want to leave with a lady on staff. The hostess bars of Ho Chi Minh City sometimes have barfines, but it is now less common than it used to be. After a number of places were raided and closed years ago, many new bars have opened without any kind of barfine or work release. The ladies just work for drinks and tips. And if they do want to meet a guy outside of the bar, they simply wait until after they finish their shift. There are exceptions. An increasing number of bars around the Bui Vien backpacker strip have an unofficial barfine system in place, though the rates are negotiable and often include payment for the ladies. Salidas in Latin America Some places in Latin America have a salida system in place. Customers pay a fee to the bar if they want to leave with a lady on staff. This used to be common at several bars in Sosua, but that was before major changes that took place a few years ago. Nowadays most ladies there freelance, or work on their own. Salidas are still paid in other areas though. That includes bars like Lalo’s International in Bogota, strip clubs with women who have sex with customers like Fase II in Medellin, and strip clubs in the Dominican cities of Puerto Plata and Santiago. Early Work Release in the Philippines Barfines are common at go go bars all across the Philippines. But they differ from one city to the next. For whatever reason, bars in different cities have adopted their own barfine models. And they usually stick to them. As stated above, barfines are often referred to as “early work release” at go go bars in Angeles City. Apparently this is aimed at adapting to local regulations. Some places go even farther by selling high priced bottles of strange drinks like “party animal” in place of charging barfines or EWR. But the effect remains the same. One thing that doesn’t remain the same in Angeles City is the way the money is used. Barfines in Angeles City uniquely include payment for the ladies. Customers hand over payment to the bars, then later the bars give a portion of that money to the gals. This used to be considered an all inclusive payment. But more recently the ladies have also started to ask for additional tips from guys who take them out of the bars. Although they are sometimes higher, the barfines at go go bars in Manila do not include payment for the ladies. So on P Burgos Street and in the EDSA Entertainment Complex, customers pay barfines at the bars then give the women they take out their own money later. I’ve been told that a new blowjob bar is set to open in Bangkok in early 2020. This is more than a rumor. The new shop has already been constructed and fitted out. The signs are even up outside. Now it is just a matter of waiting for the place to open its doors. Blowjob bars have long been a topic of interest on this website. I started writing about these suck shops many years ago when Rockit Reports began. The majority of the BJ in the world are located in Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. Schlong sucking saloon styles In Vietnam the BJ bars mainly take two forms. First there are a handful of regular bars with special areas where the ladies suck customers for cash. Then there are all the hot toc hair wash blowjob shops. Those obviously aren’t bars in the traditional sense. They look like barbershops but they don’t cut hair. But they do give head. Tokyo Jogakuen BangkokTokyo Jogakuen Bangkok The Japanese blowjob bars aren’t based around booze either. These pink salons are set up somewhat like tea shops or restaurants with booths. Patrons walk in, drop trou, and get oral from one or more women at a set rate. Japan may have the most BJ bars in the world. But most of them do not accept foreign customers. In Thailand the opposite is true. I have been told many times that local guys are not allowed inside of all the various pickle polishing pubs in the country. That explains why they are centered in parts of Pattaya and Bangkok where the most foreigners can be found. Bangkok’s new BJ bar I have reviewed every blowjob bar in Bangkok. The latest update to that coverage came when Som’s closed and relocated to the new Duangporn Heaven shop a few streets over. Before that I wrote about the end of the Lollipop before reviewing the new Number One Bar that took its place. The new BJ bar opening in Bangkok will be the first totally new place in years. Except that it is not entirely new. Like many other similar shops this place has it rooms in another venue or two with a similar business model. I don’t know the full details but I’ve been told that this new shop is being run by a gal who once worked at another blowjob bar nearby. That place was actually opened by a former employee of another similar shop located across Sukhumvit Road. So the new place is more deeply rooted than superficial appearances may imply. The newest addition to the Bangkok BJ bar scene is called Tokyo 女学園 (Tokyo Jogakuen). It is right next door to the previously reviewed Hera’s massage parlor on Sukhumvit Soi 33. As the name and location suggest this will probably be a Japanese-style shop. Though I haven’t seen any indication that people from other places will be denied entry. The place already looks ready to go from the street. But it appears it will open in late January or early February. Time will tell. Daisy Dream is one of the newest massage parlors in Bangkok. Yet it is also one of the most notable. Almost instantly the place gained notoriety for the elaborate design and decoration that lines the interior of its otherwise unassuming building on Soi 33. But in the time since opening Daisy Dream has become more well known for staffing a large number of skilled lovely ladies who offer a luxury level of service. Of course there is no shortage of massage parlors in Bangkok. Especially these days as it seems new places are opening all the time. Some entire streets are not lined with massage parlors on both sides. Yet it is quite easy for the places to all sort of blend in with one another. A guy may even forget where he was just a day or two before as many shops are nearly identical. That is certainly not the case with Daisy Dream. I don’t think anyone could forget the place after a single visit. It really stands out from the crowd like few other places can. In that it joins the ranks of a handful of high end massage parlors that have opened in Bangkok in recent years. Yet it is not nearly the most expensive place in town. This just goes to show that that price doesn’t always reflect quality. In other words the best places aren’t always the most expensive. And vice versa. Location and setting As mentioned earlier Daisy Dream is located on Sukhumvit Soi 33. Traveling north from Sukuhmvit Road proper it is located at the end of the third short soi on the right. So it lies between the previously reviewed 7Heaven pink salon which is closer to Sukhumvit Road and Dozo Massage which is further up Soi 33. There is very clear signage on the strip that holds Daisy Dream so the shop is quite easy to see. In any even the side sois are very short and the shop can actually be spotted even from Soi 33 itself. Entering the Daisy Dream stop is a bit like stepping into another world. The inside of the shop is very well appointed with an Asiatic decoration style that really has to be seen to be appreciated. Although it looks very good it is also somehow welcoming and comfortable. Nice private seating lines the wall while the multilingual female Thai manager welcomes customers from her station towards the end of the room. More on her later. entrance of daisy dream bangkokentrance of daisy dream bangkok The rooms at Daisy Dream are just as nicely done as the main lobby. They are perhaps a bit more sparse but that is by design. Form must fit with function after all. A good example is the jacuzzi rooms which are organized with service in mind. Along with the bubbling bath they are fitted with purpose made inflatable mats for nuru massage. Of course the decorations aren’t the draw for customers at a massage parlor. Though they can help set the scene they are just a backdrop for the staff and services that a place has to offer. Suffice it to say that Daisy Dream didn’t stop putting in work when it came to laying out the place. That is reflected in the women who work at the shop and the way they approach their clients and their work. Nuru massage and more Nuru massage has become popular all over the world. Originating in Japan the service basically consists of a skilled therapist sliding her body over and against a customers with the aid of a very slippery nuru lotion. Real nuru lotion is made from seaweed. And real nuru massage therapists are skilled at using it. These days there are a lot of people and shops claiming to provide nuru massage to pull in customers even though they use substandard gel and employ unskilled staff. At Daisy Dream the women know exactly what they are doing when it comes to nuru massage. And they use the authentic nuru gel as seen in Japan. daisy dream bangkok roomdaisy dream bangkok room On top of the nuru massage the staff at Daisy Dream also offers a more traditional erotic massage. This service would be familiar to anyone who has been to an oily massage parlor in Thailand. The difference is the level of service and the surroundings which reflect it. Ever session in a place like this can take on a life of its own. And rarely are any two sessions the same. But generally speaking the women bathe their customers from head to toe in a way that is erotic and alluring. As well placed touching gets things going sessions then usually proceed into oral followed by covered full service in multiple positions. Every masseuse is different but all who work at Daisy Dream seem to really know their way around a man’s body. Many apparently even know their way around the female form too as the place warmly welcomes couples as customers. The ladies of Daisy Dream There are several dozen women working at Daisy Dream overall. In fact the shop might have one of the largest staffs I have ever seen in a Thai place of this kind outside of the large soapy massage parlors. Of course all of the women do know show up simultaneously but rather filter in and out throughout the day as is the norm in many such places. The prime time for the shop seems to be between 4 and 10 o’clock when it comes to staff. Between those hours it is normal to walk in and find more than thirty available women. Although the shop lobby is quite large and long the lineups actually stretch from one side to another. There are that many women working! sexy Bangkok massage ladysexy Bangkok massage lady Although the place is popular it is never overrun with customers either. It is common to run into other guys in the lobby area. But I would never walk in and expect to be unable to find a seat. I definitely wouldn’t expect to walk in and be told that there were no women available either. The staff numbers then match up nicely with the actual customers base. There are many women working at Daisy Dream so customers always have a choice of service providers. Yet there isn’t such an overabundance of women that the gals would go without customers and try to find work somewhere else either. This sort of balance is difficult to strike which can explain why so many Bangkok massage parlors these days may have only two or three gals on hand when a guy walks in off the street. Service providers on staff The aforementioned Thai woman who runs the front end of the shop was formerly a mamasan over at the Ginza go go bar on Walking Street in Pattaya. Apparently she brought quite a few gals with her when she switched over to working at Daisy Dream. Those gals were joined by even more thanks to a rigorous recruitment drive by the shop. When the place first opened it had just a handful of women as may be expected. By now things have really changed. daisy dream massage bangkok line updaisy dream massage bangkok line up Even in what might be considered off hours there are many women working at the shop. At noon when the doors first open for the day there are usually ten or more ladies there. So even when some are busy in the rooms with other customers I would never expect to walk in and not see several gals waiting for clients. From what I have seen the ladies all look good too. I haven’t seen any elderly or vastly overweight women at Daisy Dream. Although it may seem strange to the unaccustomed the same simply cannot be said of many massage parlors in Bangkok and the rest of the country. Indeed all the gals I have seen at Daisy Dream are pretty and proportionate. Perhaps more importantly the gals all seem to be quite talented when it comes to their work. Services and prices There is a lot of discussion about people who observe and participate in the industry when it comes to prices at places like this. For years the standard at oily massage parlors was that an hour or so of full service cost around 2000 Baht. But those oily massage parlors were mostly just converted shop houses with mattresses and maybe a shower in the corner. So when nicer places with specially trained staff started appearing it only made sense that they would charge more. The biggest issue is that some of the mediocre or even run down shops took that as a sign that they too should increase their rates without improving their shops or service. Or expanding or training their staff. As I wrote earlier the prices at Daisy Dream aren’t all that expensive especially when taking everything into consideration. For example they do offer a forty minute session for 2000 Baht ($65 USD). More notable and perhaps appealing is their 5,000 Baht ($162 USD) set that entails ninety minutes of nuru massage and more in a jacuzzi room with one of the ladies on staff. That is of course more than 2,000 Baht but much more is also involved. Even then the price is lower than some similar shops in the immediate area charge for even a basic session. thai massage lady cleavagethai massage lady cleavage It is possible to splurge at Daisy Dream but even then the prices are quite reflective of the situation. Two hours of nuru massage and more in a jacuzzi room with two of the ladies on staff costs 10,000 Baht ($324 USD). That’s double the rate of the single lady 90 minute jacuzzi service but it also adds another service provider and extends the appointment by an extra thirty minutes. I know all of this from inquiring directly with the shop. There is some sort of unspoken rule that keeps massage parlors in Bangkok from posting their prices or menus on their websites these days. But Daisy Dream has an account on the Line app under the ID @daisydream_massage. Through that they are very responsive and able to reveal all the important details. The same as inside the shop. No matter the amount of time or type of session booked the ladies who work at the place certainly know what they are doing. Obviously I haven’t spent one on one time with every gal who works at Daisy Dream. But you can get a general feel for a place by spending some time inside and interacting with the people who work there. It is possible to find a single standout service provider in any place. But when a shop staff multiple experts it usually means the staff as a whole is experienced and professional. Conclusion There are those who bemoan the state of the adult entertainment industry in Thailand. Or even around the world more generally. As someone who has reported on the scene regularly for nearly a decade and observed it for even longer I can appreciate what they are saying. Yet the fact that places like Daisy Dream continue to open in well known and easily accessible areas like Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 33 shows that there is still a lot of life and vibrancy to be found. The days of the three hundred Baht girlfriend experience are long gone for the most part. But there are now many things that simply didn’t exist in years gone by. I wouldn’t say there is a massive rise of luxury massage parlors in Bangkok or really anywhere else for that matter. But in the last few years a select few places have opened where it is obvious that the people involved really want to provide a top service in suitable surroundings. Daisy Dream is that kind of place. And yet it still manages to stand out from the pack further thanks to its design, large staff, pricing, and way of doing things. The people behind this massage club obviously care as they continue to work to improve their shop. That’s seen in the way they expanded their staff in such a short time and quickly drew in a number of customers. It’s also seen in the way they respond to customer concerns and continually try to improve their place. In short it is what customer service is all about. Daisy Dream is an extraordinary massage parlor in an ocean of mediocrity. Looking beyond its elaborate adornment and ornamentation it is easy to see a dedicated staff and management that wants customers to leave happy. It appears no expense was spared putting the place together. Yet the shop doesn’t try to extract every last Baht from its paying customers either. Daisy Dream is as well run as it is constructed. I give it five stars. |
